De la mémoire d'Antan - Outfit snap

I don't post enough outfit snaps on my blog, so I'll try to show you more! (Also, sorry for the lack of news lately, I've been struggling with things in my personal life, but I feel I'm starting slowly to overcome everything, so I'll be more active soon!)

Je ne poste pas assez mes tenues sur le blog, je vais donc essayer de rectifier le tir ! (Au passage, désolée pour le manque de nouvelles ces derniers temps, je suis aux prises avec pas mal de choses dans ma vie personnelle mais je commence à surmonter tout ça, je serai donc très bientôt beaucoup plus présente !)

 

By the end of March I attended a local con named "Clermont Geek Convention". For the occasion, the photographers from the website GOURGANGEEK had organized a photobooth, so I took the opportunity to make some pictures of my outfit. I decided to wear for the first time the JSK "De la mémoire d'antan" I bought from AmaStacia last summer. This is one of my most stunning pieces, the skirt is made out of savage silk and the fabric used for the bust is a high quality cotton, I'm in love!

A la fin du mois de mars j'ai participé à une convention locale, la "Clermont Geek Convention". Les photographes du site GOURGANGEEK étaient alors présents sur un stand photo où je suis allé faire quelques clichés de ma tenue du jour. J'avais décidé de porter pour la première fois ma JSK "De la mémoire d'Antan", achetée l'été dernier chez AmaStacia. C'est une de mes pièces les plus somptueuses, la jupe est faite de soie sauvage et le buste est construit dans un coton de haute qualité, je l'adore !

Event report - "Contes et Merveilles"

Hi everyone! Long time no posting, but I have a very good reason, I was traveling abroad with my whole family (and when I say whole I mean my parents, my brother and sister in law, my sister and brother in law, my grandparents and my husband). It was maybe one of the best vacations I had in my life. I’ll take time to write more about it in another entry.

For now I’d like to talk about the last event I attended: “Contes et Merveilles”. This tea party is the first collaboration between the French associations French Café and Aüra Lolita. It took place on Saturday 27th February in the beautiful Castle Monchat in Lyon. 

Coucou tout le monde ! Cela fait bien longtemps que je n’ai pas posté mais j’ai une très bonne raison : J’étais en voyage à l’étranger avec toute ma famille (et quand je dis toute je parle de mes parents, mon frère et sa chérie, ma sœur et son chéri, mes grands-parents et mon mari). C’était peut-être les meilleures vacances de ma vie, mais je prendrai plus le temps d’en parler dans un autre article.

Pour le moment j’aimerais vous parler du dernier évènement auquel j’ai eu la chance de participer : "Contes et Merveilles". Cette tea party était la première collaboration d’Aüra Lolita et de French Café. Elle a eu lieu le 27 Février dans le charmant château de Montchat, à Lyon.

I landed in France on Sunday 21st February. The event was programmed in less than a week after my arrival, so I decided to coordinate in a very simple way my last fairy tale themed dress, “Dwarf Story” by Innocent World (I’ve slightly altered this dress a few months ago to make a JSK from the OP. Do you remember? I wrote an entry about it: ♥♥♥). 
Snow White is one of my favorite good fairy tale characters (I’m more on the villain side usually, especially in Disney movies, I find them more funny and charismatic), so I decided to turn in a “modern old-school snow-white lolita”

J’ai atterri en France le Dimanche 21 Février. L’évènement étant programmé moins d’une semaine après, j’ai préféré coordonner simplement une de mes robes de conte de fées, "Dwarf Story" d’Innocent World (j'ai légèrement modifié cette robe il y a quelques mois, en faisant de l’OP un JSK. Est-ce que vous vous en souvenez ? J’avais alors écrit un article sur le sujet : ♥♥♥). 
Blanche-Neige étant un de mes personnages préféré (normalement je préfère les méchants, surtout dans les Disney, je trouve qu’ils sont plus marrants et charismatiques), j’ai donc décidé de devenir une “modern old-school snow-white lolita”.

Once my luggage was packed, I took the bus on Friday evening to go to my friend July’s place (thank you again July for offering me your room, you’re the best!). After a short night I woke-up early, took a shower and started to dress-up quickly before taking the bus to go to Sarah’s place. She was the one in charge to lead us to the castle! After taking the tramway and walking a long time (it’s always a long time when you are wearing uncomfortable lolita shoes) we finally arrived at the castle. The place was simply majestic, sober and elegant at the same time. 
 
Mes bagages une fois prêts, j’ai pris le bus vendredi soir direction l’appart de ma copine July (merci encore ma belle de m’avoir prêté une chambre, t’es la meilleure !). Après une courte nuit je me suis réveillée tôt pour prendre une petite douche et m’habiller rapidement afin de rejoindre Sarah. C’est elle qui était chargée de nous conduire au château ! Après un voyage en tramway et après avoir marché longtemps (c’est toujours trop long avec des chaussures lolita inconfortables), nous sommes enfin arrivées au château. L’endroit était tout simplement majestueux, sobre et élégant à la fois.

Everybody was very well dressed and put a lot of efforts in their coordinates. I’d like to take time to write about each coordinate, but we were about 70 and it would be too long, so I will only talk about my favorite ones ^w^

When I arrived at the TP I met the “Nancy buddies” composed by Lola, Aurélie, Solène and Yumi. Lola and Solène was the perfect villains lady of the day. Yumi, my beloved fellow Kawaii Ambassador, was breathtaking in her Soufflesong dress. This brand will never stop to amaze me with its quality! 

Tout le monde était merveilleusement bien habillé et s’était beaucoup investit dans chaque coordinations. J’aimerais prendre le temps d’écrire sur chaque tenues mais nous étions presque 70, ce serait bien trop long, je ne vais donc parler que de mes préférées ^w^

Lorsque je suis arrivée à la TP je suis d’abord tombée sur le « gang de Nancy » composé par Lola, Solène, Aurélie et Yumi. Lola et Solène étaient parfaites dans leurs tenues démoniaques. Yumi, ma bien aimé co-ambassadrice, était somptueuse dans sa robe Soufflesong. La qualité de cette marque ne cessera jamais de m’impressionner !

Then, I met my friend Tro-Tro at the entrance. And gosh, she was amazing in her Innocent World JSK with here pines and pearls headdresses. A real forest princess! I also spotted Marie Tuonetar wearing a very elegant coord (I’ll never say enough how much I love your style sweetie, you are the perfect balance between cuteness and elegance). I’ve known them for years now and their coord skills are always on point, they are so inspiring ♥

J’ai ensuite vu Tro-Tro qui se chargeait des entrées. Et bon sang, elle était superbe dans sa robe Innocent World et sont headdress fait d’aiguilles de pin et de perles. Une vraie princesse des bois !
Ma copine Marie était également dans les parages, portant une tenue très élégante (je ne dirais jamais assez combien j’aime ton style Marie, tu es l’équilibre parfait entre l’élégance et le mignon). Je connais ces filles depuis des années maintenant, et leur tenues sont toujours impeccables, elles sont une véritable source d’inspiration pour moi ♥

For the occasion, the loooove of my life, Lucie ♥, wore a stunning shiro coordinate with a disturbing silver mask I know she has been searching for a long time. Almost all my gang buddies were there: Lucie, Hayate, Roxana and Alice! It was like having a leveled-up meeting, with delicious food and with being surrounded by amazing friends we don't see enough.

Pour l’occasion, l’amouuur de ma vie, Lucie ♥, portait une superbe tenue shiro assortie d’un masque assez perturbant qu’elle a cherché pendant longtemps. Presque tous mes amis du « gang » étaient là : Lucie, Hayate, Roxana et Alice ! C’était comme avoir un meeting en plus guindé, avec en bonus de la nourriture succulente et le tout en étant entouré d’amis que nous ne voyons pas assez.

By the way, a special thumbs up to Yume who created most of the Aüra Lolita team headdresses (Do you remember Yume? I also interviewed her for one of my Lolita Discovery! You can read her interview just here: ♥♥♥). I especially loved Chieko chandelier headdress, it was stunning!

Au passage, mention spéciale à Yume qui a créé la plupart des headdress de la team d’Aüra Lolita (vous souvenez-vous de Yume ? Je l’ai également interviewé pour un Lolita Discovery ! Well, get back to the event! The TP started with an opening speech during the one the girls explained us the day’s schedule: food, fun, pictures, game, raffle and love!

Bon, revenons à l'évènement ! La TP commença avec un discours d'ouverture durant lequel les filles nous ont expliqué le programme du jour : nourriture, jeu, tombola et amour !

The organizers had a great concept based on “Donkey Skin” fairy tale: some galettes (Twelfth-Night pancake) were proposed on the buffet, and in one slice of them the princess has lost a special thing. The lucky one to find it would gain a special gift. My friend Magic Melon found it and received a beautiful BTSSB ring as a present! Isn’t it awesome?

Les organisatrices nous avaient préparé un super concept basé sur le conte de “Peau d’Ane” : des galettes étaient proposées au buffet, et dans une part de ces nombreuses galettes une princesse avait perdue quelque chose de spécial. La personne chanceuse qui trouverait ceci se verrait remettre un cadeau. C’est ma copine Magic Melon qui l’a trouvé et qui alors a reçu une très jolie bague BTSSB ! N’est-ce pas génial ?

The buffet was really tasty, with many French specialties: cannelés, galettes, brioche. Yummy! I ate too much, as always, but I don’t regret a thing ♥

Le buffet était vraiment délicieux avec de nombreuses spécialités Françaises : cannelés, galettes, brioches. Miam ! J’ai beaucoup trop mangé, mais je ne regrette rien ♥

As in every French Café event now, a valentines tree was available in the room where the prizes for the raffled where exposed. I think I spent more than half the afternoon writing valentines to my friends and to lolitas I didn't know. At the end of the event we all received a bag with our valentines, and I’ve had the pleasant surprise to find a full bag! So I take advantage of this blog entry to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who took time to write these words for me. You can’t imagine how precious they are to me and how much they made me cry of happiness. Thank you ♥

Comme dans tous les évènements de French Café jusqu'à aujourd'hui, un arbre à valentines était disponible dans la pièce où étaient exposés les lots. Je pense que j'ai passé plus de la moitié de l'après-midi à écrire des mots doux à mes amis et à des lolitas que je ne connaissais pas. A la fin de l'event nous avons tous récupéré notre pochon et j'ai eu la délicieuse surprise de trouver un sac plein ! Je profite donc de cet article pour dire un grand MERCI à toutes les personnes qui ont pris le temps de m'écrire un mot. Vous ne pouvez pas imaginer combien ces mots sont précieux pour moi et combien ils m'ont fait pleurer de bonheur. Merci ♥

During the tea party, we also played a very original game. Its name was "The exquisite coordinate" and its rules were simple: we all had a sheet of paper with outfits key words (as bustle back for instance), the idea was to find all these key words in the attendees' coordinates ; and the first to fulfilled her/his paper sheet would win a prize. What we didn't know is that the chosen attendees by the winner would have a prize too! I've been selected as the "fairytale print" by the winner and get a Kera copy as a prize ♥ I also had the chance to win a cutsew during the raffle! I came back home with two awesome prizes that made my day (⌒▽⌒)☆

Au cours de la tea party, nous avons également joué à un jeu très original. Son nom était "La coordination exquise" et ses règles étaient simples : nous avons tous eu une feuille de papier contenant des mots-clés de tenues (comme par exemple "bustle back"), l'idée était de trouver tous les mots-clés dans les coordinations des participants, et la première personne à remplir sa feuille gagnerait un lot. Ce que nous ne savions pas c'est que les personnes choisies par le gagnant auraient un prix aussi! J'ai été sélectionnée comme "print de conte de fées" par la gagnante et j'ai donc reçu un magazine Kera ♥ J'ai également eu la chance de gagner un joli cutsew à la tombala ! Je suis donc rentrée à la maison avec deux superbes lots (⌒▽⌒)☆

Then the time to vote for the best coordinate came. With a very large majority of votes it’s Kagero who won the best coordinate price! She definitely deserved this prize ; her outfit handmade by Emilène (owner of the brand Little Black Bird) was just perfect.

Puis le temps de voter pour la meilleure coordination arriva. Avec une très grande majorité de votes, c'est Kagero qui a gagné le prix de la meilleure tenue ! Elle le méritait vraiment ; sa tenue réalisée par Emilène (la créatrice de la marque Little Black Bird) était parfaite.

If I have to summarize the event in one word, it would be AWESOME! Girls, you did an amazing work, thank you very much. It was pure love and happiness, I'm looking forward for your next event (as co-working associations and as a lone-association). Kokoro and marshmallow ♥

Si je dois résumer l'événement en un seul mot, ce serait GENIAL ! Les filles vous avez fait un travail incroyable, merci beaucoup. Souffle Song - Casual "Ave Maria"

Hi everyone, I didn't post a lot during January, I've been so busy lately! But I'll try to improve in February (for sure I will, I'll have a ton of pic to post... but you'll know later what I'm talking about). Today I'd like to share with you the result of a new photoshoot I've done for my sponsor Souffle Song. 

If you start to know me a bit, you may have realized that I love to wear my frills everyday. Therefore, I have to toned down my coords to make them okay for work or anything else. I think Souffle Song clothes are perfect because they are very versatile, they can be worn in a very lolita coordinate (as how I wore it the first time: ♥), but also in more casual outfits. 

Salut tout le monde, je n'ai pas beaucoup posté tout ce mois de Janvier, il faut dire j'ai été très occupée ces derniers temps! Mais je vais essayer de faire mieux en Février (je vais avoir une tonne de photos à poster... mais vous saurez de quoi je veux parler un peu plus tard) ! Aujourd'hui, je voudrais partager avec vous un nouveau photoshoot qui a été réalise pour mon sponsor Souffle Song. 

Si vous commencez à me connaître un peu, vous vous êtes peut-être rendu compte que j'aime porter mes dentelles tous les jours. J'allège donc mes tenues pour les rendre portables au travail ou ailleurs. Je pense que les vêtements de la marque Souffle Song sont parfaits car ils sont très polyvalents, ils peuvent être portés aussi bien dans une coordination très lolita (comme pour cette première tenue : ♥), que dans des tenues plus "casual".

Lolita Snaps (LS) is a magazine (with a website and a Facebook page) dedicated to Lolita & Boystyle fashion, that gathers people from all countries with the same affinity. With snaps, interviews, tutorials and much more, they have correspondents in over 10 countries, including Japan, to share lolita hot news that bring lolitas closer to what they love. They also organize a monthly contest named "Lolita Fashion Cover". 

Here is the idea behind this contest (source: http://lolitasnapsmagazine.com/lolita-fashion-cover-2015/): 
"Looking for an inspiration in Lolita becomes more tangible when it’s somebody we know. When we know this person isn’t a model, but they equally put a lot of effort into what they do and they can be recognized for their originality. Modern Doll Fest & East Tea Party

I'm back from ont of the best week-end of lolita events I've had the chance to attend: The modern doll fest and the East Tea Party. I'm very happy to write this entry today and to share with you what happened during these 2 days.

Je suis de retour de l'un des meilleurs week-end d'évènements lolita que j'ai pu faire : le Modern Doll Fest et la East Tea Party. Et je suis très heureuse d'écrire cet article pour partager avec vous ce qui c'est passé au cours de ces 2 jours.

 

The modern Doll Fest

"Once upon a time a little girl who dreamed to look like porcelain dolls she admired for years. The girl grew up with her hopes "One day I will live my dream" ... Discover through a unique exhibition-convention the dream and history of many designers and artists inspired by Lolita fashion. A special day opened for everybody in order to enter in the world of modern dolls who are Lolitas!"

Il était une fois une petite fille qui rêvait de ressembler aux poupées de porcelaines qu'elle admirait depuis des années. La demoiselle a grandi et avec elle ses espoirs les plus fous "Un jour je vivrai mon rêve"... Découvrez à travers une exposition convention unique le rêve et le parcours de nombreux créateurs et artistes inspirés par la mode Lolita. Une journée ouverte à tous pour entrer dans l'univers des poupées modernes que sont les Lolitas !"

The Fest took place on Saturday the 29th of august and has been organized Rouge Dentelle Rose Ruban Association, East pole. It was open to public to present the lolita culture to lolitas and to people interested in discovering it. For this event, I've had the huge honor to be invited as a guest to present a conference about lolita Fashion and to interview Shinkurose and AmaStacia designers during another conference. I have already known Wolfing, the AmasStacia's designer who is a lady I really appreciate a lot and was very happy to finally meet Emily I've already interviewed for one of my previous Lolita Discovery. She and her mom are so darling, I wish I'll have the opportunity to meet them again in the future. 

Le festival a eu lieu le samedi 29 août et était organisé par Rouge Dentelle Rose Ruban Est. C'était un évènement ouvert au public pour présenter la culture lolita aux lolitas et aux personnes intéressées par la découverte de celle-ci. Pour cet évèment, j'ai eu l'immense honneur d'être invitée en tant que guest pour présenter une conférence sur la mode lolita et pour interviewer les designers de Shinkurose et d'AmaStacia au cours d'une autre conférence. Je connaissais déjà Wolfing, la designer d'AmaStacia, qui est une jeune femme que j'apprécie énormément et j'ai été très heureuse de pouvoir enfin rencontrer Emily, que j'avais déjà interviewée pour un de mes Lolita Discovery. Elle et sa mère sont tellement adorables, j'espère que nous aurons à nouveau la chance de nous rencontrer.

During the day I also had the infinite honor to model Atelier Pierrot and Haenuli. My Haenuli coordinate for the fashion show was very far from my comfort zone but I had fun to feel sweet and cute for once, maybe I'll wear sweet again in the future. The JSK was really well cut and the print well executed.

Au cours de la journée j'ai également eu le très grand honneur de défiler pour Atelier Pierrot et Haenuli. Ma coordination pour le défilé d'Haenuli était très loin de ma zone de confort, mais c'était assez chouette de se sentir sweet et mignonne pour une fois, peut-être que je porterai à nouveau ce style un de ces jours. La JSK était vraiment bien coupée et le print très bien exécuté.

And the coordinate I wore for Atelier Pierrot was really on point. I fell in love with this crazy cats collection. The fabric is just magic, so soft and comfy and the cats are kinda cute and dark at the same time. And I don't need to talk about the blouse, I bet everybody already know how high quality this brand blouses are!

 

La coordination que j'ai porté pour Atelier Pierrot était parfaite. Je suis tombée amoureuse de cette collection à chats totalement fous. Le tissu est tout simplement magique, doux et confortable et les chats sont sombres et mignons à la fois. Et je ne parle même pas de la blouse, je parie que tout le monde sait déjà combien les blouses de cette marque sont d'une qualité exceptionnelle !

My coord of the day was pretty simple because I had to change many times for the fashion shows, it's why I wanted it to be easy to wear. I really liked it in the end (even if the petticoat I wore the dress make it looks way too short!!!), I love this OP from Innocent World and I think it's really my best buy from my last trip to Japan with the boots I wore. 

Ma coordination pour cette journée était assez simple comme il était prévu que je me change plusieurs fois pour les défilés ; c'est pourquoi je voulais qu'elle soit facile à porter. Au bout du bout, j'aimais bien cette tenue (même si le jupon que je portais rend la robe mille fois trop courte !!!), j'adore cette OP d'Innocent World et je crois que c'est vraiment le meilleur achat de mon dernier voyage au Japon, avec les bottes que je portais.

In the end, for a first edition I'm very impressed by the high quality of the whole event. the organization was very good, the store selection was excellent, the fashion show was great and I had a lot of fun. Thank you very much RDRR East for all your hard work. I'll be there next year for sure! 

Au final, pour une première édition, je suis très impressionnée par la qualité de l'ensemble de l'événement. L'organisation était super, la sélection de boutique était excellente, le défilé de mode était chouette et je me suis vraiment amusée. Merci beaucoup RDRR Est pour votre travail acharné. Je serai là l'année prochaine, c'est sûr !

The East Tea Party

On the next day was the second edition of the East Tea Party. I didn't attend the first one last year, so I was very happy to be a part of this new edition! 
During my stay, I slept at Yumi's place with my friend Roxana, and we all woke up early to get ready and be on time. After fighting for half an hour with my real hair I gave up and decided to wear a wig (again) for this event. In the end, I really like how the final look turned and I'm thinking about dyeing my hair in brown... I really have to think about it! Once we were all ready, we drove direction Nancy downtown to join the place of this new edition tea party, the "Hotel d'Haussonville", a very beautiful building from Renaissance.

Le lendemain a eu lieu la East Tea Party, seconde édition. Je n'avais pas pu assister à la tea party de l'année dernière, j'étais donc très heureuse de faire partie de cette nouvelle édition !

Durant tout le séjour j'ai dormi chez Yumi avec mon amie Roxana, et nous nous sommes donc toutes réveillées tôt pour nous préparer et être à l'heure. Après m'être battue pendant une demi-heure avec mes vrais cheveux, j'ai renoncé et j'ai choisi de porter une perruque pour cet événement. Au final, j'aime bien le rendu final et je pense à me teindre les cheveux en brun ... Je dois vraiment y réfléchir ! Une fois prêtes nous nous mettons en route pour le centre-ville de Nancy où avait lieu la tea party dans l'Hôtel d'Haussonville, un très beau bâtiment de la Renaissance.

I've been invited with the persons who bought a VIP ticket to early enter the party to have a drink in this beautiful place. We had smoothies and fresh vegetables, it was very refreshing! A few times after, I saw familiar faces across the street: all the attendees started to arrive.

J'étais invitée avec les personnes ayant acheté un billet VIP à entrer plus tôt dans le lieu de la tea party pour prendre un verre. On a eu des smoothies et des légumes frais, c'était très rafraîchissant ! Peu de temps après avoir bu mon smoothie, je vois des visages familiers dans la rue : les participants commençaient à arriver !

The organization team invited us to discover the tea party room and to choose a seat. The place was very beautiful, classical and comfy at the same time. A piano was placed just behind our table, we discovered during the introduction speech that some musicians were invited to play for us. What an amazing surprise!
Actually, I don't really know what to say about the tea party because everything was just perfect. The food was tasty and in large quantity, the tea selection was perfect and the place was lovely. The only problem we encountered during the day was the terrible heat wave (I think all the RDRR events might have been cursed because every time our association organize something, the heat is terrible). 

L'équipe nous a alors invités à découvrir la salle et à choisir une place. L'endroit était somptueux, classique et confortable à la fois. Un piano était placé derrière notre table, et nous découvrons au cours du discours d'ouverture que des musiciens étaient programmés et allaient jouer pour nous. Quelle merveilleuse surprise!
En vérité, je ne sais pas vraiment quoi dire sur cette tea party car tout était parfait. La nourriture était bonne et en quantité, la sélection de thé était fantastique et le lieu était très agréable. Le seul vrai problème que nous avons rencontré, c'est la canicule (je pense que les événements RDRR sont maudits : à chaque fois que notre association organise quelque chose, la chaleur est intenable).

The tea party was so much fun, and the raffle was unbelievable (but as expected, I didn't win a thing. Maybe the next time... or the next one... or the next one... and so on!). I am very happy for all of my friends who won prizes, though ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ

And the icing on the cake, received a small lucky bag filled with beautiful postcards, a fanzine specially edited for the occasion and a cute pair of socks. I had a pair of ivory socks I really really love!

Et la cerise sur le gâteau, tout le monde a reçu un petit lucky pack contenant de jolies cartes postales, un fanzine édité spécialement pour l'occasion et une jolie paire de chaussettes. J'ai eu une paire de chaussettes ivoire que j'adore !
